Guilford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A Guilford man is charged after police say he lured a teenager via social media, bribing the juvenile male with nude pictures among other things.
The arrest of John Degennaro, 59, was a joint operation with Weston police, who began investigating online interations between the suspect and a 14-year-old.
Police say Degenarro paid to have the teen transpoted to a train station by Uber.
He was then picked up by Degennaro in New Haven and brought to an area mall, where the suspect purchased thousands worth of dollars of merchandise, police said.
The teen stayed with Degennaro multiple times.
Police say the suspect solicited the youngster for sexual contact and also for an intimate relationship.
Degennaro is charged with risk of injury and enticing a minor.
In addition, police say he had hidden cameras in his home and recorded sexual activity without the knowledge or consent of other individuals.
