Connecticut State police tweet that Marico Ellis was taken into custody
in East Hartford. His capture comes hours after he
stunned everyone at Hartford Superior Court by jumping over several
gallery seats right in the middle of his hearing, as he faced assault and weapons charges, and making his way for the exit. He was easy to spot, not only because he was dressed in
all black. But also, in his rush to get out, his shoes fell off. Still the barefoot
suspect managed to elude canine units and drones for hours. When police caught up with Ellis, they say they took him into custody without incident.
