Hartford man arrested in connection with October homicide

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford Police arrested a city man in connection with a homicide that took place in October.

Police said Cinque Sutherland was located and taken into custody after the murder of Benjamin Garnett. Garnett succumbed to a gunshot wound on Blue Hills Avenue at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Officials did not provide a motive on the shooting.

Sutherland was charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm. He is being held on $1.5 million bond.
