Allegations of sexual abuse have prompted Connecticut officials to shut down a group home in Harwinton.
The Department of Children and Families says that there were multiple incidents involving girls in the home.
According to the DCF, one staff member was accused of having inappropriate contacts with one of the
girls placed in the home in 2021,
The home is known as a Short Term Assessment and Respite residents -- meant to be safe for youg people who have
experienced severe disruptions in their lives.
