Farmington, Conn./WTIC Radio - A section of Interstate 84 in Farmington is closed this morning.
State police say a hazmat situation has forced the closure of I-84 in both directions at exit 40.
Troopers say traffic is being diverted off exit 40 in the eastbound and westbound directions.
In addition, Route 9 northbound exit 30 is closed.
Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
