West Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - The state inspector general is investigating an officer involved shooting in Hartford.
Police in Middletown put out an alert that they were looking for a vehicle connected to a homicide in that city on Tuesday.
An automated license plate reader received a hit on the plate and officers responded to an area of New Park Avenue in West Hartford.
Officers located the vehicle, which attempted to flee the scene.
A pursuit ensued and the vehicle was disabled with stop sticks on Flatbush Avenue in Hartford.
Shots were exchanged between West Hartford officers and the suspects, who were hit.
The suspects sustained non life-threatening injuries.
No officers were injured.
