New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman abducted in New Haven when she was two years old has been found in Mexico.

It was October of 1999 when Andrea Reyes was taken by her mother, Rosa Tenorio.

The mother did not have custody of the child at the time.

A warrant was issued for Tenorio, who was thought to have fled to Mexico.

Decades after Reyes was entered into the missing persons data base a New Haven SVU detective began reworking the case.

Reyes was found in the town of Puebla, Mexico and has been reunited with her father.

The search for Tenorio continues.

Police are expected to have more to say during a news conference next week.
