MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Liberty Bank is celebrating its bicentennial with a special donation.
To celebrate its anniversary, which was Sunday, May 4, 2025, the Liberty Bank Foundation is donating $200,000 to Make-A-Wish Connecticut.
This grant will support a Summer of Wishes, a chance for local children to have a life-changing wish granted.
Make-A-Wish is currently working to fulfill the wishes of 300 Connecticut children, and Liberty’s financial support will help grant many of those wishes.
Liberty Bank Foundation will also make a $50,000 donation to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and there are several other ways the bank will give back to the community throughout 2025.
Liberty Bank President and CEO David W. Glidden recently presented a check to Make-A-Wish Connecticut at a Hartford Yard Goats game at Dunkin’ Park in Hartford on April 29 – World Wish Day.
