
Meriden, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is under arrest in Meriden, charged in an assault and stabbing from earlier this year.
Police say Shawn Samuel is facing charges stemming from a May 31st incident.
Officers were called to the North Tower on Willow Street for an assault in progress.
A female victim was found with serious stab wounds.
Detectives worked leads in the case that they say led them to Samuel.
They included surveillance footage showing Samual and the victim in an altercation, Samuel taking items from the victim and driving his car into her.
He was captured June 5 with assistance from New Haven and Branford police.
Samuel is now charged with assault, robbery and unlawful restraint.
Bond was set at $750,000.
