
Litchfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police say a Litchfield man is under arrest on child abuse charges.
Troopers say they were called to a Fern Avenue home late Thursday morning.
Matthew Ruzbasan, 34, was allegedly caught on a home camera system slapping the five-month-old, swinging the infant and pushing the child's feet toward their head.
When they arrived on scene, police say Ruzbasan told them he didn't know why they were there.
The complaintant told police she suspected the child was being abused and upon leaving work, took custody of the baby until police arrived.
She told troopers she heard the baby crying through the in-house camera system and set it to record.
The baby was taken to the hospital.
Ruzbasan faces charges of intentional cruelty to persons, reckless endangerment and risk of injury.
Bond was set at $100,000.00.
