Meriden, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man who state police say choked a woman he didn't know at the Meriden train station this week is under arrest.
The victim told police the suspect, 37-year-old Curtis Desmond Hemmingway, came up from behind her just before 8:30 Wednesday night, threw her on the ground, and began choking her.
The victim says she nearly passed out and when she came to, an individual drove her home and she contacted police.
Meriden officers alerted troopers and they culled through video footage before they located and detained Hemmingway just after 12:30 Thursday morning.
He faces a number of charges including attempted murder, reckless endangerment, strangulation and breach of peace.
