Man charged in student gun incident in East Granby

East Granby, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police are charging a man after they say a child brought a pair of handguns to school on Friday.

Town and state police were called to the Carl Allgrove Elementary School just after 11:30 a.m. Friday on a report of a student possessing the weapons.

Troopers say the guns, which were found in the students belongings, were secured and there were no injuries.

Now, 32-year-old Kenneth Pariaug is charged.

There's no word on the relationship between Pariaug and the student.

Pariaug is charged with reckless endangerment and risk of injury.

He's free on $10,000.00 bond and is due back in court in Hartford December 22.
