New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - A New Haven man has been found guilty of the murder of one man and the shooting of a police captain that left the officer with serious injuries.
Albert Eaddy, 63, was found guilty Monday of the shooting death of Troy Clark, 46, on August 12, 2019.
Just before 9:30 that evening, police were alerted to an active shooting in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Henry Street.
New Haven Police Captain Anthony Duff, off duty at the time, radioed headquarters about the shooting, requesting backup.
Duff sustained multiple life threatening gunshot wounds but did survive.
Clark was rushed to an area hospital where he later died.
Eaddy was a convicted felon at the time and prohibited from possessing firearms.
He's scheduled to be sentenced August 31 in New Haven Superior Court.
