PLAINFIELD, CONN(WTIC Radio)-A Rhode Island man faces drugs and a weapon charge after being pulled this morning over by Police for misuse of a registration plate.
Plainfield Police noticed the registration plate on the 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis being driven by Jason Sprague, 40, of West Greenwich, Rhode Island, didn't belong to the vehicle.
After police stopped him , an officer noticed an illegal switchblade knife in plain view. A further search revealed a machete, hatchet, and
miscellaneous knives. Police also found a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Sprague is charged with misuse of plates, motor vehicle violations, drugs and a weapon charge.
He's scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court May 1st.
