WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Waterbury Police have secured an arrest warrant for a man accused in a fatal hit-and-run.
Investigators allege Christopher Luna, 29, was driving a gold colored Honda CRV that struck two pedestrians near 900 Meriden Road around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Police say that during that hit-and-run, victim Shane Dube, 49, was thrown over 100 feet. He was hospitalized but later succumbed to serious injuries sustained.
The other victim, Nicole Sarandrea, 35, was hospitalized for serious injuries.
Detectives found the unoccupied suspect vehicle with heavy front-end damage on Irion Street in Waterbury.
Luna remains at large. He is wanted for evading responsibility resulting in death, tampering with physical evidence, illegal operation under suspension, operating unregistered a motor vehicle, and illegal operation without minimum insurance.
