New London, Conn./WTIC Radio - The United States Coast Guard Academy based in New London has announced Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas will deliver the keynote address to the graduating class of 2023.
Graduation is scheduled for May 17.
In a news release, the Coast Guard says "The Secretary will congratulate the cadets, the newest generation of Coast Guard leaders, on their hard work and dedication, and wish them fair seas and following winds in their future endeavors".
The 142nd Commencement Exercises are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Cadet Memorial Field.
In the event of rain, the event will be held in Leamy Hall Auditorium
Vice President Harris delivered the keynote last year to the graduating cadets.
