MERIDEN, CONN (WTIC Radio)-A Meriden man pleads guilty to the murder of his fiancee.
42-year old Jason Watson entered the plea in New Haven Superior Court.
Police found the charred body of 31-year old Perrie Mason in the area of
Bay State Textiles on Brookside Road in Waterbury, where Watson worked, in August 2019.
Mason had been reported missing for three days. Watson and
Mason lived together and she was the mother of two.
Watson was arrested the following year.
A week before Mason was reported missing, Watson was taken into
custody for a domestic violence incident. Mason's sister shared text messages of her sister's injuries resulting in Watson's original arrest.
Watson is expected to receive 30-years when he's sentenced January 22nd.
