MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Middletown Police are investigating shots fired during a Tuesday morning altercation.
Police responded to the area of Main and Liberty Streets on the report of a man shot in the head.
The alleged victim was not shot, however. Police determined the 31-year-old male victim had gotten into a physical altercation with an unknown man.
During the fight, the unknown suspect raised a black revolver to scare the victim. The victim was pistol whipped but was not shot.
During a struggle for the weapon, the gun was discharged in a northerly direction. No one was injured.
The unknown suspect was described as a black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s wearing a black mask and black hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen traveling west on Liberty Street headed toward Pearl Street.
