MILFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—Milford police arrested a suspect of a domestic violence incident that led to the temporary closure of Silver Sands State Park Monday afternoon.
At around noon, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced that Silver Sands Park was closed due to a law enforcement investigation.
Milford officers were in the area of Walnut Beach and Silver Sands searching for the suspect.
The area remained closed until around 4 p.m. though police continued their search. Police shared that officers were searching for Anthony Sliney, 32, for domestic charges.

About an hour and a half later, police reported that Sliney had been arrested and was in Milford Police custody.
No other details have been released about the incident.
