With supplies so limited, the monkeypox vaccine is being priortized at clinics around Connecticut for people who are at a
heightened risk of exposure to someone else with the disease. That ahead-of-the-line group includes people who meet
these conditions: being gay, having had multiple partners in the past two weeks, and being above the age of 18.
Get the shot, they say, if your partner show signs of monkeypox - including a rash that looks like pimples or blisters. Also at elevated
risk -- people who recently met partners though social media platforms or large gatherings. And people with a
heightened risk of contracting AIDS. Whether you have symptoms or not, they want you to provide your health care
provider if you have had close contace with someone with monkeypox in the past 2 weeks.
