Experts say the recent hot, humid weather is the type of environment mosquitoes need to thrive.
Health officials say, among other things, residents should minimize their time outdoors at dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active, make sure windows and screens are tight fitting, and use repellent if spending anytime outdoors.
