NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ New Haven Fire Lieutenant Samod Rankins is back in the hospital for complications sustained in a fatal May fire.
Rankins is at Yale New Haven Hospital for evaluation and observation.
He spent nearly two weeks hospitalized at Bridgeport Hospital after battling a fatal house fire in May. Fellow department firefighter Ricardo Torres Jr. was killed while knocking down the fire.
New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker says, "I'm wishing Lt. Rankins a speedy recovery. Our entire community is indebted for his service and pulling for him."
