New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - On Sunday, thousands will descend on New Haven for the annual Elm City Freddy Fixer Parade.
The 61st annual event is billed at the oldest Black American parade in the northeast, celebrating Black culture, heritage and community.
The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. from the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Bassett Street.
Police note there was be several street closures near and around the parade route beginning at 11:00 a.m.
