MARLBOROUGH, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police arrest a New London woman for reckless driving on Route 2 in Marlborough.
A trooper was conducting a speed check on Route 2 Eastbound near the Exit 13 entrance ramp when a vehicle was clocked at driving 109 MPH in a zone posted at 109 MPH around 9 p.m. Saturday.
The driver, later identified as Brianna Guerin, 21, continued at the speed until the trooper was able to catch up.
Once she pulled over, the trooper began to approach the vehicle and saw an infant and a young child in the back seat, along with an adult female passenger.
Guerin allegedly told the trooper she had to use the bathroom, despite having passed several rest areas before the traffic stop.
It was further found that the vehicle's registration was suspended due to non-compliance with insurance requirements.
Guerin is being charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving, two counts of risk of injury to a child, and second degree reckless endangerment.
Bond is $1,000.
A request for DCF intervention has been requested.
