LEDYARD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Ledyard Police say a New London woman turned herself in to face charges in connection with a deadly Ledyard crash earlier this year.
Police say Amber Lahue, 24, turned herself into Ledyard Police to face charges in a warrant in connection with an accident on February 22, 2024, that resulted in the death of a passenger in a vehicle she was driving.
Police say Lahue was allegedly intoxicated at the wheel, with a blood alcohol content level that was over twice the legal limit. Police say she sped away from a motor vehicle stop on Route 12 before the deadly crash.
Lahue posted a $150,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on May 21, 2024.
