RICHMOND, Rhode Island (WTIC Radio) - A fiery crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in Rhode Island claimed the life of an East Lyme man.
Brian Joseph Scacciaferro, 25, of the Niantic section of East Lyme, was pronounced dead after state police say his car slammed into several light poles and then a tree along the northbound side of the highway near Exit 3 in Richmond.
Scacciaferro was pronounced dead at Kent County Hospital, said authorities.
Police say it appears speed and alcohol played roles in the crash. The investigation is ongoing
