WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC And AP) — Officials say one person has been killed and another was sent to a hospital after fire struck a house in West Hartford.
Fire Chief Greg Priest says the fire in a single-family home was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday. He says firefighters worked to put the fire out while looking for one or two people who were still inside.
One of the people trapped in the house was pronounced dead.
The victim’s name was not immediately released. The second person was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
