East Haven, Connecticut, Police have released the identities of both the victim and the suspect following a deadly hit-and-run Friday night.
The victim is identified as 47-year-old Gina LaVacca. Police say she died in the street outside 650 Main Street after getting hit by a white hatchback.
Police identified the car using surveillance video, which they say shows the hatchback leaving the scene.
The police then found the car parked in an apartment complex, where the accused driver, 45-year-old Elizabeth Cronk, was arrested. She is being held on a bond of $250,000, facing charges of evading responsibility resulting in death and driving without a license.
