East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in East Hartford are investigating a crash Wednesday night that left a pedestrian dead.

Detectives say the the driver fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 9:30 in the area of Main and Pitkin Streets.
Officers found the victim, a male, in the intersection with serious injuries.
He later died at Hartford Hospital.
Police say the evading vehicle is a silver Hyundai Elantra or Sonata between the years 2011 and 2016 with front end and driver's side damage.
