Bloomfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - A person is dead after they were struck by a commercial vehicle Wednesday morning in Bloomfield.
Police say the accident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on Woodland Avenue.
According to investigators, the male victim was hit by a dump truck and sustained severe trauma.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle was found at Woodland and Wintonbury Avenues.
The driver told police they were unaware they'd struck a person and is cooperating with the investigation.
No charges have been filed.
