Pedestrian injured in snowmobile accident

Plainfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - One person is injured and another under arrest following a crash Saturday between a pedestrian and a snowmobile in Plainfield.

Officers say 59-year-old Jay Gorenski was found around 6:00 p.m. with leg and head injuries on New Road in the Moosup section of town.

He was initially taken to Backus Hospital and then transported to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.

Under arrest is 29-year-old Ronald Bourque, operator of the snowmobile.

He's charged with DUI and engaging police in pursuit.

Bourque is also charged with reckless driving from an unrelated incident.

He's free on a $10,000 bond.
