Backlash is faced by a Yale University professor who made social media postings critical of both Israel and of the Israelis who slaughtered by Hamas invaders.
In response to criticism of Hamas about the killings of civilians, Professor Zareena Grewal messaged that "settlers are not civilians." Her hashtag was #FreePalestine. Now, a Change.org petition calling for Grewal to resign has received more than 32,000 signatures in three days. The petition accuses Grewal of "promoting lies and violence."
Yale University Presiden Peter Salovey is quoted by FOX61 as condemning the attacks by Hamas. In a statement, Sal0ovey also says "Yale is committed to freedom of expression."
