PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Plainfield police arrested a man who allegedly poured an unknown liquid on police patrol cruisers parked at the Plainfield Police Department.
Members of the Plainfield police department saw a man around 10:26 a.m. on Sunday pushing a bike in a restricted part of the department's property.
Police say Shane Hart, 32, poured an unknown liquid onto all of the marked patrol cruisers parked at the department. The liquid was later determined not to be an accelerant.
Hart, who refused to identify himself when confronted, was identified with help from the community.
Hart has been charged with first-degree criminal trespass, interfering with an officer, eight counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and failure to submit to fingerprinting.
Hart remains held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on March 8, 2021.
