West Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - The state Office of Inspector General has released West Haven police body cam footage of an officer involved deadly shooting from last Friday.
Police were called to a residence on Terrace Avenue just before 2:00 a.m. on a report of a domestic incident.
As they were about to bring Washington in, officers in the video ask him if he wants to put some pants on.
It's then that Washington heads toward a closet before he grabs a firearm from under a mattress and shoots Officer Cody Bacon in the leg.
Officer Alex Triscritti returns fire, hitting Washington three times.
Washington later died at Yale New Haven Hospital from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officer Bacon has since been released from the hospital.
