SHELTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State police are seeking witnesses to a crash on Route 8 in Shelton Thursday afternoon that claimed the life of a Bridgeport man.
Demar Thompson, 46, was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital after his SUV lost control on the southbound side of the highway, went down an embankment and struck a tree, according to police.
The road was wet at the time of the crash. It occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway near Exit 12.
