West Hartford, Conn./WTIC Report - There's an update on the fires this weekend that destroyed the Wampanoag Country Club building in West Hartford.
The fire chief says the fires on Saturday and Sunday do not appear to have been deliberately set.
Rather, a prelinary investigation indicates the second fire Sunday morning was likely a continuation of the first fire roughly 24 hours earlier.
Chief Greg Priest says full investigations and final reports into the fires will take some time.
State police fire investigators are part of the probe with West Hartford officials.
The country club is working with those who had events booked there and says they hope to have the golf course open soon.
