Storrs, Conn./WTIC Radio - There are still pro-Palestinian protests happening today at UConn.

Thursday evening, about 300 gathered to voice opposition to the war between Israel and Hamas.

A university spokeswoman says while largely peaceful, there was one arrest.

Alexander Kueny, 34, a UConn graduate student, was taken into custody after he allegedly pushed a police officer trying to detain another person.

He is charged with interfering and has been released on $500 bond pending a May 7th court appearance.

University officials say the demonstrators were informed of their right to a peaceful assembly, but that tents and encampments were prohibited.
