BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—The Town of Bloomfield is now ordering public indoor mask wearing as of Thursday.

Effective at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, the Town of Bloomfield is requiring indoor mask wearing when social distancing is not possible.

Interim town manager Philip K. Schenck reminds people in Bloomfield that Governor Ned Lamont's Executive Order No. 13A is still in effect.

The order essentially says any person who fails to wear a mask or cloth-face covering shall be guilty of a violation and fined one hundred dollars.

An employer, rather than the employee, is liable for the fine for any employee's failure to wear a required mask or cloth-face covering while at work.
