The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority announced decreased rates for Eversource and United Illuminating customers via PURA's Rate Adjustment Mechanisms.

Eversource residential customers will see rates decrease by $0.043 per kilowatt hour or about $30 on the average monthly bill.

UI residential customers will see rates decrease by $0.049 per kilowatt hour or about $34 on the average monthly bill.

Lower public benefits charges drive the decreases announced in today’s rulings, particularly those tied to the nuclear energy contracts with Millstone and Seabrook.

The rates will go into effect on Friday, May 1, 2026, and continue through Friday, April 30, 2027.
