Farmington, Conn./WTIC Radio - The worst of the snow appears is over in Connecticut.

Winter storm warnings were discontinued early Sunday morning.

Numerous parking bans remain in effect as municipal crews work to finish clearing local roads of snow and ice.

Connecticut Department of Transportaion snow removal crews spent late Saturday night and early Sunday morning working to clear interstates and state roads in and around the Greater Hartford area.

The fact the storm hit over the weekend has no doubt made it easier for the plow drivers to do their jobs with less traffic to navigate around.

DOT officials advise drivers who are heading out to give crews plenty of space to work: "don't crowd the plow", as the saying goes.

Also, it is a state law to clear all snow and ice from vehicles beforehand to prevent it from flying around and hitting other cars.
