New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - A staff member at a school in New Haven is under arrest, charged with hitting a student.
Police say they received word Wednesday just after 2:30 p.m. that Chevonne Boone, 48, of New Haven hit a six-year-old student during lunch at John C. Daniels Middle School.
Boone is a paraprofessional at the school.
The circumstances that led up to the incident were not released.
Boone is facing charges of risk of injury, assault, and breach of peace.
Bond was set at $10,000.
