CONNECTICUT (WTIC Radio)_ More schools in Connecticut are shifting to remote learning as COVID-19 positivity and hospitalizations remain high.

Hartford Public Schools are modifying the district's plans to reflect more remote learning starting Monday, November 16. PreK students will go to school four days a week, with remote learning on Wednesday. Students in grades K-9 will learn in person two days a week, with three days of remote learning. There is no schedule change for students in grades 10-12, who have been remote learning entirely.

Among the changes, Hartford Superintendent Leslie Torres-Rodriguez says there will be live instruction for remote students. Students will have additional, albeit remote, instruction and interaction with their teachers. Previously, students were accessing and experiencing the learning on their own.

Bridgeport Public Schools announced its system will transition indefinitely to all-remote learning starting on Monday, November 23. Superintendent Mike Testani announced "the extremely difficult decision" was made with the Bridgeport Department of Public Health. All schools will provide grab-and-go meal service daily for its students.

Ansonia officials say all in-school classes will end Friday and the district will be moving to remote instruction.
