New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - Crews in New Haven spent Thursday searching for a teenager who jumped into a river in the early morning hours.
Fire Chief Daniel Coughlin said the operation shifted into a recovery operation for the 13-year-old.
The search covered several miles from the West River to Long Island Sound.
"The water is not clear around here, there's a lot of debris in the water," said Coughlin.
A adult attempted to save the the teen but had to be rescued.
Drones, boats, and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter all joined the search.
