Second suspect arrested in Hamden nightclub shooting

Hamden, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hamden police have made a second arrest in connection with a shooting at a nightclub in town last winter.

Donald Woodson, 39, of Meriden is charged.

Police say on February 17 they were called to the Dixwell Social Lounge on Dixwell Avenue on a report of gunfire.

They say Woodson was one of two shooters that night.

A 34-year-old Hamden man suffered a gunshot wound to his foot during the shooting.

He is now charged with with criminal attempt to commit assault 1st degree, reckless endangerment 1st degree, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Bond was set at $500,000.

Police had already arrested Montrell Brewer, 30, of New Haven for his alleged part in the shooting.

He is facing assault, weapons and other charges.
