PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Services are getting underway in Plainville as the weekend begins to remember a fallen hero in town.
Volunteer Firefighter Ray Moreau died early Sunday morning when a piece of a firetruck fell onto him during a response to a house fire.
Thousands turned out for a cellphone light vigil Tuesday evening at Plainville High School.
Now, the community is turning out for Moreau's calling hours at the Plainville Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 3 p.m.
A funeral service at Central Connecticut State University's Welte Hall will begin Saturday at 10 a.m.
