
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - New Haven detectives are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Tuesday night.
Officers received a shot-spotter alert of gunfire at about 10:04 p.m. in the area of George Street. Around the same time, the department got a call about a person shot on Chapel Street, police said.

Police later located a 29-year-old New Haven man who had been struck by gunfire on Chapel Street between Orchard and Beers Streets.
The victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. He was listed in stable condition, police said.
The Bureau of Identification responded to George Street where, officials said, they collected ballistic evidence by Day Street.
