Shots fired into New Haven 7-Eleven under investigation

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - New Haven Police are investigating shots fired at a 7-Eleven convenience store early Thursday morning.

Witnesses tell police they saw a parked BMW in the lot off Foxon Boulevard.

A short time later, around 1:54 a.m., a Honda Civic entered the parking lot. Several passengers from inside the Civic, dressed in dark clothing and armed with handguns, got out of the vehicle and entered the store.

While inside the store, the BMW pulled up near the entrance to the store. A passenger from inside the BMW got out of the vehicle and opened fire into the store from outside, shooting through the glass. There was return gunfire from the suspects inside the store.

All suspects fled the scene.

One person inside the store had minor cuts on their face from the shattered glass.
