Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Parts of the state will be dealing with wintry weather throughout Tuesday.
WTIC Weather Center meteorologist Bob Cox said anywhere from 2-to-5 inches of snow could fall in northern Litchfield and Hartford Counties.
In Norfolk, dubbed the "icebox of Connecticut", public information officer Jon Barbagallo said "the town crews were out and prepared as of Monday night pre-treating roads", adding they're asking drivers to take it slow and give plow operators enough space.
After some snow and and a mix, the precipitation is expected to transition to a cold rain throughout most of the state.
Temperatures will hover in the low and mid-30s, with 40s expected for areas along the shore.
Cox says an Arctic cold front will move across the area on Thursday.
Lows could drop into the single digits with highs Friday struggling to get out of the 20s.
