North Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - A standoff in North Haven came to a peaceful end Wednesday morning.
Police say it began around 12:30 a.m. when North Haven officers assisted East Haven police in attempting to arrest a New Haven man for a family violence incident.
Officers arrived at the scene at 1031 Hartford Turnpike on reports Jovierre Reveron, 24, was at that location.
When they arrived, police say the suspect was uncooperative and in possession of a rifle.
For hours, police and those with the South-Central Regional SWAT Team attempted to coax Reveron out of the house.
Authorities say Reveron surrendered without incident around 7:30 a.m.
They say there was no threat to the public.
Right now, North Haven detectives are working with the state's attorney's office on charges.
Reveron is also expected to face charges in East Haven, as well.
