Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Many state residents and business owners spent Monday taking stock after flash flooding the day before.
Portions of Fairfield County received upward of eight inches of rain during Sunday's deluge.
Those communities were among the hardest hit areas.
Homes and roads were flooded.
Those who sustained damage are being urged to file a report.
State Emergency Management Director Bill Turner said "If you have damages related to this storm, related to the flooding, please report those damages. We have a link on our website, ct.gov/demhs."
Officials say they will explore filing for federal disaster assistance once they receive the information.
